This notice explains what personal information Claremont Counselling collects through this website, why we collect it, and what your rights are.
Who we are
Claremont Counselling is a counselling practice based at 5 Claremont Hill, Shrewsbury SY1 1RD. For the purposes of data protection law we are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at hello@claremontcounselling.co.uk.
What we collect
This website does not collect any personal information itself. There is no form to fill in. If you email or phone us, we receive the information you choose to give us:
- Your name
- Your email address or phone number
- Anything you tell us in your email, call or voicemail
Please share only as much as you are comfortable putting in writing. A sentence or two is enough for us to arrange a call.
Why we collect it and our lawful basis
We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and to arrange your introductory call. Our lawful basis is that you have asked us to take these steps before deciding whether to start counselling with us. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time by emailing us.
If you go on to become a client, separate arrangements apply to your counselling records. These are explained in full in the working agreement we go through before your first session.
How your enquiry reaches us
Emails come straight to our own mailbox, which is hosted by IONOS. Nothing you send us passes through this website, which is hosted on Amazon Web Services.
How long we keep it
If you do not go on to book a session, we delete your enquiry after six months. If you do become a client, your information is kept in line with the retention period set out in your working agreement.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing. We share it only where we are required to by law, or in the small number of situations covered in the confidentiality section of your working agreement.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set any cookies and does not use analytics or tracking. It loads nothing from other companies: the fonts are served from this site, and the map is a plain link rather than an embedded one, so nothing is requested from Google unless you choose to follow it.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it, and to object to how we use it. To do any of these, email hello@claremontcounselling.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top.
